Bergneustadt / Solms, October 1, 2025 – PWM GmbH & Co. KG acquired 100% of the shares in Elkotron GmbH on October 1, 2025. The company, based in Solms (Hesse), will operate under the name Elkotron Systems GmbH in future.
Elkotron has been an established provider of development and manufacturing services for complex electronic assemblies for over 25 years. The company has particular expertise in implementing customized electronic solutions for industrial applications with the highest requirements for miniaturization, reliability, and customization.
The buyer, PWM GmbH & Co. KG, is the global market leader in electronic price displays for gas stations and is active in over 160 countries. Headquartered in Bertneustadt (North Rhine-Westphalia), the company has locations on every continent and has specialized in the development and production of electronic display systems for more than 40 years.
PWM is wholly owned by Leop. Krawinkel GmbH & Co. KG, a seventh-generation family-owned company independent of any corporate group or bank, led by Dr. Max F. Krawinkel. For Dr. Krawinkel, the acquisition of Elkotron Systems is a strategically important step:
